Ambience

The hotel is set in 10 acres of olive grove and garden with stunning flower and tree lined walkways with water-ways, fountains complete with a roman temple the perfect spot for weddings and blessings. Relaxing walks along the tree lined banks of our two rivers with abundance of wild flowers and birds such as the bee eaters, white owls and eagles which pass through our valley. The inner Andalusian style courtyard complete with cloister walk-way, central mill stone water feature, orange trees, geraniums and Bougainvillea give the hotel that very special feel. place to meet friends and other guests. Our guest lounge with it’s cosy sofa’s, a lovely place to curl up with one of the many books from our library. In winter, the added warmth from a grand log fire. The reception area and many of the guest rooms are adorned with fabulous pictures by “PICASSO” from his Guernica collection. In winter we have a charming if not outrages basement lounge/bar. The property has a warm homely atmosphere- more like a country house than a hotel.
